In summer, the Femundsmarka and Gutulia national parks and the nearby Fulufjell National Park in Sweden offer impressive hiking trails and nature experiences. Take a boat trip on Lake Femund or explore Elgå on the Fæmund II boat. Kilometres of groomed ski trails start right on the doorstep, ideal for winter sports enthusiasts. There are small ski areas in the region in Sølenstua and Idre, while the vast Trysilfjellet is only a short drive away. Engerdal, the southernmost reindeer herding area in the Sami, offers tranquillity and pure nature.
