Chalet Mon Refuge St. Barbara, Leuk

This detached chalet is situated in the hamlet of St. Barbara, about 5 minutes by car above the town of Leuk, in a quiet and sunny location with a magnificent view of the Rhone Valley. The chalet is easy to reach by car and public transport. Ideal for hiking, suitable for winter sports (Torrenthorn, Gemmi, Crans-Montana, Aletscharena) and close to the thermal baths in Leukerbad, the chalet offers a cosy holiday atmosphere. You also don't have to go far for excursions into the exciting Valais valleys or to visit various vineyards. The holiday home is also a paradise for relaxing and soaking up the sun. For children, the spacious and low-traffic surroundings are a good playground. The good furnishings and the quiet location offer optimal comfort for a relaxing holiday. The cosily furnished flat on the ground floor has 3 bedrooms with a total of 5 beds and a large living room. In addition to the bathroom with shower and well-equipped kitchen, there are also amenities such as a flat-screen TV, wifi internet, kettle, microwave, Nespresso machine, oven and hairdryer. In summer, the large outdoor seating area and the balcony are a paradise for relaxing. Two car parking spaces are available right next to the house.

    “Wir waren eigentlich nur zur Übernachtung da, dafür war es noch ok. Positiv: Die Lage ist gut, man hat einen schönen Ausblick auf die Berge. Negativ: Der Wohnbereich mit Esstisch ist viel zu klein. Wir waren nur zu 3 dort, möchte nicht wissen wie es bei Vollbelegung aussieht. Das Bad war auch zu klein. Wenn man in/aus die Dusche möchte muss man über die Toilette steigen. Für Menschen die nicht mehr so mobil sind, ist das eine Herausforderung. Der viel zu laute Lüfter ist da nur Nebensache.
    Die Küche ist auch viel zu klein, effektiv kann dort eine Person arbeiten.”

    “Positiv: Tolle Lage, guter Ausgangspunkt Negativ: Küche hätte langsam eine Renovation nötig. Heizung im Einbettzimmer und im Badezimmer funktioniert nicht. Dusche lässt sich nicht richtig verschliessen, deshalb ganzer Boden nass. Restaurant: Rothis, Steg - Super Essen. Preis/leistung Top”

    Super Lage/ Ausgangslage für Biketouren und Wanderungen. Negativ: Die Betten waren etwas gar hart.”

    “Wir konnten uns sehr gut erholen und es hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Aussicht ist überwältigend schön. Danke an die Gastgeber, dass wir ihre Wohnung über die Ostern mieten durften.Positiv: Die Aussicht; das Chalet liegt zwischen mehreren Wanderwegen; das ein- und auschecken war sehr praktisch und schnell; sehr gut erreichbar mit dem ÖV; Idealer Ort für Familien.Negativ: Die Küche ist sehr klein und hat knapp für zwei Personen darin Platz. Allerdings ist sie super gut ausgestattet.Ausflüge: Albinen - Ein süsses, kleines, altes Dörfchen am Berghang. Wanderung dauert ca. 1h. Teilweise sehr steil und streng.”
