The village has a historic centre with the church of San Pietro, which rises impressively and clearly visible above Lake Maggiore. An unspoilt village centre with old houses nestled close together, narrow alleyways and arcades characterise the town.
Residenze Viramonte is a well-maintained holiday complex with six apartment buildings, built on a beautiful hillside above the village of Vira. The park-like complex offers a wonderful view over the lake and the mountains.
Flat no. 38 is located in Casa Daniela, which is the only house with an underground car park.
