This cosy natural stone house is tucked away in the hills between Cortona (9 km) and Lake Trasimeno (18 km). The living spaces are small but cosy, with an open fireplace in the living room and a vine-covered pergola in front of the kitchen. And when you open the windows from the bedroom in the morning, it's pure Tuscany! A holiday home, ideal for retreat, peace and relaxation: bring all the books you couldn't read during the year with you and find the peace and quiet you need here: on the sun lounger by the pool, in the shade of the terrace with a glass of wine or on the comfortable sofa by the fireplace. You can walk or hike through picturesque landscapes directly from the house; for bikers there are cycle paths through the Chiana Valley or around Lake Trasimeno. Just 850 metres away, within easy walking distance, you will find one of the best restaurants in the area (owned by the owner), where you can sample delicious local dishes and wines. What more could you want? Other excursion destinations in the area: Cortona, of course, the imposing Etruscan town with its charming main street, which is perfect for a stroll; Arezzo with its historic centre, the Piazza Grande and the frescoes by Piero della Francesca in the church of San Francesco (25 km), the medieval town of Montepulciano (30 km) or the charming Renaissance town of Pienza with breathtaking views over the Orcia Valley (40 km); Lake Trasimeno with its sandy beaches and small islands (20 km), which are well worth discovering. Or Siena with the most beautiful square in the world, the "Campo", within an hour's drive (80 km), as well as the Umbrian capital Perugia, also of Etruscan origin (55 km).
